Announcement
Updated March 4 -- Two meetings have been scheduled in the next two weeks to discuss the decisions for consolidation of the Catholic School System by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The first meeting will be Monday, March 8 at 7 p.m. in the CG Auditorium. The Blue Ribbon Committee will field questions from parents, faculty and staff. The second meeting will take place on March 15th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. All Archdiocese High Schools will attend and discuss the enrollment process for their schools.
Updated March 3 -- Until recently, Cardinal Gibbons’ administrators hoped that by pursuing every known option we could avoid having our school closed by the Archdiocese. Unfortunately, these efforts did not result in a positive decision for our school. What we do have is a shared dedication to our students and their continued success.
Our administration’s first priority is to minimize the disruption in the lives of our current students, prospective students, faculty, administration and their families. To facilitate a smooth transition in changing schools, other Catholic school administrators have agreed to accommodate as many students as possible in time for the next school year.
We ask that all of you who comprise the Cardinal Gibbons community pray that the future of our students remains on track to grow in a Christian atmosphere conspicuous for honor, challenge, responsibility, scholarship, and devotion.
We will continue to keep you apprised as additional details and activity emerge.
The Cardinal Gibbons School was founded for the purpose of providing Catholic education for any student who was interested. After 40 years, our graduates have proven to be positive products of our mission: To build leaders for the Church and society.
Our graduates lead Fortune 500 Companies, own their own businesses, serve the public, and succeed in such venues as the Super Bowl and NCAA Basketball Tournament. Our graduates serve the church as priests and deacons, and we continue to grow in the Lasallian tradition, Together and by Association.
We are a school that believes in the student-teacher relationship, and we believe in the use of modern innovation to provide an education rich in traditional value. Explore our school, become part of our family. Your future awaits...
