The Cardinal Gibbons School prides itself on the quality of our interscholastic athletic program. More than half of our student body participate on Crusader athletic teams, showing the opportunities that exist here to compete, train, and develop as a player, individual, and as part of a team. Our student-athletes thrive under the watchful eye of the best coaching staff in Baltimore. From professional players, former college coaches, All-Americans, and high school standouts, our student-athletes get the best training, teaching, and character development available.
Our teams compete in the MIAA, known throughout the country as one of the best high school leagues for quality of competition, fairness, and producers of college players.
When you look at the list of student-athletes that our programs have produced, you see the highest level of achievement. From the Super Bowl (Vaughn Hebron and Jean Fugett) to the NCAA Tournament (Steve Wojciehowski, Leon Williams, Kenny Hasbrouck), to the Major Indoor Soccer League (Mike Conway and Derek Marcano), Cardinal Gibbons has had success in all facets of competition.
Our students are required to maintain the highest of academic standards. Failure of any class in any given quarter eliminates them from eligibility to compete for any sports team.
