Musical Art

Occasions to perform music, on an instrument or vocally, are numerous at Cardinal Gibbons School. Our band continues to flourish with many performance opportunities- at our monthly liturgical masses, sporting events, “It’s Academic” TV show tapings, in the orchestra pit for our school musical, and our yearly Christmas and Spring Concerts, all featuring a variety of genres and styles. In addition, the band participates in juried festival competitions and a local parade. These are great options for the musician who wishes to grow in his knowledge and technique while learning team-building skills and creating bonds with his fellow musicians.

Elective courses in Music may include Concert Band, Instrumental Music lessons, Piano, Guitar, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Music Theory, and Choral Music.
